Driving Positive Social Impact

Relinked Group is focused on driving positive social impact by facilitating access to information, equipment, and support by creating learning, networking, partnership, collaboration, and community outreach platforms. Our primary role is driving ecosystem development for scaling solutions and initiatives that can yield greater impact. Through the Relinked Network, we are redefining the role of networks in creating and sustaining positive social impact by bringing together individuals and organizations built around a big idea and focused on maximum social impact.

The Social Impact in Action Forum was launched in 2023 to enhance a lifetime commitment to social impact. It is a forum for different players in social enterprise, NGO, business, civil service, climate action, leadership space, art, social impact, and change-making in various forms. Participants network, cultivate purposeful collaboration, share best practices, engage each other with innovative ideas, and enhance their compelling vision for change. The sessions unpack, appreciate, and grow social impact, and discuss ways of infusing sustainable practices.

The Social Impact in Action initiative follows and amplifies the works of different change-makers; demonstrating that it has been done and can be done; inspiring people to take action and make a difference in the world; and connecting them with opportunities, equipment, and support to do more. It has been action-packed, spotlighting the work being done by different organizations and individuals and highlighting challenges and best practices from which everyone can draw lessons. We have been happy to see many organizations and individuals working together on different projects beyond the forum.

RELINKED LEADERSHIP NETWORK

The Relinked Leadership Network is for leaders who wish to multiply their leadership in their communities, country, and across the globe. Fellows admitted into the program will be sensitized on various aspects of leadership concerning organizational performance and socioeconomic sustainable development.

The program targets young leaders who want to be equipped with advanced skills to enable them to lead impact-oriented initiatives, as well as advance their ability to develop big, hairy, and audacious goals, to propel their communities, and the entire African continent, forward. These aspirational young leaders in the program will be supported to acquire advanced skills and competencies to create strategies, manage, and initiate and/or lead different ventures that will positively transform their communities.

This leadership program will support a high-level summit, focused on advanced professional and personal development of young people to enable them to become active participants in current and future economic development. Participants will be supported by experienced experts in relevant fields from diverse backgrounds.

The format of the program will include using a hybrid learning methodology that includes self-directed learning to accomplish a personal development plan over its entire period, with experiential learning taking place through keynote lectures, webinars, online self-directed study, evaluations, case studies, and individual leadership challenge projects.

To support their continued learning experience, the participating youths will be matched with experienced mentors and coaches.

The youth also need to be exposed to the idea of leadership and management in a VUCA World early enough before they can transition deeply into their corporate or entrepreneurial lives to better deal with the emerging daily challenges of life. VUCA is an acronym for Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous.

  • Volatility: nature and dynamics of change; speed of change forces and change catalyst.
  • Uncertainty: lack of predictability
  • Complexity: no easy solutions
  • Ambiguity: reality is not always clear

Adapting to this reality demands versatility in leadership; in how we make decisions, plan forward, manage risks, foster change, and solve problems – anticipation, intervention, survival, and sustainability.

“Young people should be at the forefront of global change and innovation. Empowered, they can be key agents for development and peace. If, however, they are left on society’s margins, all of us will be impoverished. Let us ensure that all young people have every opportunity to participate fully in the lives of their societies.
