The second edition of the Relinked Social Impact in Action Forum, held on November 10, 2023, was proudly sponsored by the Green Africa Group, an organization that champions Sustainable Development in Africa by promoting eco-business and green growth. The conglomerate was envisioned in the year 1991 to connect, produce, and impact various operations of humanity through sustainable mobility and safety solutions, eco-preneurship and agribusiness, shipping and logistics, environmental protection initiatives, as well as hospitality and furnishings.
The Green Africa Group was founded by Dr. Isaac Kalua Green who is an Environmentalist and Entrepreneur, a passionate Rural Development Practitioner, and an ardent social entrepreneur in vast areas for over 30 years. In all that he does, Dr. Green embodies the philosophies of Kindness, Sustainable Livelihoods, and Passionate Environmental Conservation.
The Green Africa Group also runs the Green Africa Foundation, a non-profit organization founded in Kenya in 2000 with a focus on implementing practical hands-on community-driven projects aimed at greening the African continent. The foundation has three main areas of focus, which are referred to as the three greens: treating people kindly through upholding ethics and training on life skills; promoting good health, and peace within communities, leading to sustainable livelihoods; and the actual environmental conservation. The foundation’s service avenues include learning institutions, religious institutions, music and sports, and the Plant Your Age campaign, which seeks to enhance and unify tree growing across Kenya and Africa as a personalized commitment to environmental conservation.
