The awards showcase purpose-driven organizations and individual change-makers taking action, supporting ideas and innovative solutions that reflect the dreams, aspirations, and needs in communities, promoting environmental sustainability, community development, and other impactful initiatives that are felt far and wide.
The Warriors for Good Awards will highlight best practices across diverse entities, including purpose-driven businesses, corporations, NGOs, charities, Public Benefit Organizations, Social Enterprises, cooperatives, networks, and individuals who champion impactful causes. The awards will motivate continued efforts and collaboration to build a better society and inspire and empower different sectors to work together.
It will be a platform for reimagining social impact, exploring our collective roles, inspiring progress and positive change, and rallying goodwill toward a transformative action to create an inclusive economy that is good for people and the planet.
Winners of the awards serve as role models inspiring positive change toward a more sustainable future. They are an inspiration for inclusive transformative action, influential leadership, business excellence, commitment to sustainability, and environmental management, whether by helping to improve natural resource management, demonstrating new ways to combat climate change, or raising awareness of emerging sustainable challenges.

The Warriors for Good Awards is open to all organizations of any kind; companies of all sizes, public benefit organizations, charities, not-for-profits, social enterprises, B-corps, NGOs, CSOs, Campaign Initiatives, networks, consortiums, Business Accelerators, membership and accreditation bodies and government departments including county governments.
The award is also open to individual leaders from across sectors: change-makers, entrepreneurs, social impact, and sustainability champions with initiatives that tackle a social or environmental problem. It also offers elevated exposure to the exemplary accomplishments of leaders, initiatives, and organizations working to reduce the impact of their businesses on the environment.
Through a rigorous multi-stage process, the jury will select awardees who have demonstrated exceptional and sustained achievement for social impact.
The Warriors for Good Awards process begins when an entrant is nominated or submits for consideration in a particular award category. The awards offer a prestigious platform to showcase entrants’ contributions to the ever-expanding social impact space.
The Warrior for Good award in the Climate and Environmental Action category celebrates individuals making significant strides in protecting our planet. They are recognized for their efforts in scaling environmental solutions and building resilient economies through effective climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies. They help us rethink our relationship with the planet and lead us to create a healthy ecosystem encompassing the environment, society, and economy as an interconnected whole. They advance the philosophy of Thriving Together, strengthening the capacity of all living systems to adapt, replenish, and regenerate for the benefit of future generations.
Warrior for Good in Sustainability Leadership honors corporate executives or leaders in Sustainability, Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) who have significantly advanced their organization’s sustainability initiatives. These leaders—whether C-level executives, vice presidents, directors, or heads of departments—are recognized for their ambitious vision, strong track record, and dedication to tackling the most pressing societal challenges. They drive transformative change and foster more inclusive and sustainable communities through courage, passion, and humility.
Warrior for Good in Philanthropy and Impactful Leadership category celebrates individuals who have harnessed their influence, networks, and expertise to empower communities, advance development, and create a lasting systemic change through their generosity, vision, and leadership.
Warrior for Good in Waste Management and Circularity honors and showcases the remarkable contributions of waste management companies or initiatives that have implemented the most effective waste reduction strategies through innovative waste handling, upcycling, leveraging proprietary technology to boost recycling rates sustainably, and creating closed-loop systems to reduce environmental degradation. They also use circular approaches to create enhanced social and environmental outcomes, solve Plastic, Food, and E-Waste Challenges through Sustainable Innovation, and actively engage and educate local communities about waste management practices, encouraging the value-retention processes of Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Refurbish, Remanufacture, Repurpose, and Recycle.
Warrior for Good in Biodiversity and Ecosystem Management recognizes companies or initiatives that have implemented a project or measures related to conservation, restoration, regeneration, rehabilitation, and sustainable management of biodiversity and ecosystem services in their value chain. They have ensured biodiversity protection, and ecosystem restoration, and developed projects to conserve wildlife, natural habitats, and sustainable land use practices. Projects may include reforestation, endangered species conservation, habitat restoration, sustainable agriculture, marine biodiversity protection, and the preservation of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems such as wetlands, coral reefs, mangroves, and rainforests—all contributing to thriving habitats for organisms and the resilience of ecosystems.
Warrior for Good in Corporate Sustainability celebrates purpose-driven organizations that lead the way in sustainability and have integrated principles—such as environmental protection, social responsibility, and economic growth—into corporate decision-making, operations, and business models. This award recognizes those who push boundaries by leveraging digital services or products to create scalable, sustainable, and inclusive solutions that positively impact the environment and society. It also honors efforts that ensure that underserved communities can fully participate in the digital economy and society. These initiatives enhance access to resources, improve quality of life, and contribute to community development on local, national, or global scales. They drive innovation and empower individuals and communities by increasing access to education, healthcare, economic opportunities, and other essential services.
Warrior for Good in Social Entrepreneurship category recognizes a dynamic, values-driven business that adopts a “more-than-profit” approach, blending enterprise principles with creativity to enhance the quality of life for people in urban, rural, and hard-to-reach areas. Warrior for Good in Employability and Job Creation category honors organizations that actively address unemployment, skill gaps, and economic inequality by offering training, mentorship, and job creation strategies that lead to long-term economic empowerment. This award recognizes projects that promote youth development by equipping young people with the knowledge and skills needed for the job market and self-employment, while also connecting long-term unemployed individuals with employers. They empower individuals with disabilities by championing or providing accessibility in education, employment, communication, business, housing, products, and other services, ensuring they have equal access to opportunities in all aspects of life. Their efforts also raise public awareness, helping society recognize that people with disabilities are valuable members who deserve the same respect and opportunities as everyone else.
Warrior for Good in the Impact Investing category honors organizations that make strategic investments; achieving measurable social and environmental impact alongside financial returns, setting the stage for sustainable economic growth. These organizations deploy capital to tackle critical global challenges across sectors such as sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, conservation, microfinance, and essential services like housing, healthcare, and education.
This category will particularly spotlight emerging models of best-practice investments that drive opportunities for new entrepreneurs, generate and enhance quality jobs, reinforce the startup ecosystem, and contribute to Africa’s long-term economic prosperity. Organizations will be evaluated on their investment intentionality, range of return expectations, asset classes, and impact measurability.

These organizations ensure everyone can access affordable and effective financial products and services, empowering them with the tools to manage finances, save, invest, and improve their economic well-being.
Evaluations will consider the accessibility of financial services for underserved populations, the level of support extended to small and growing businesses, tackling economic inequality, financial illiteracy, inequitable access to capital, commitment to closing the gender finance gap with targeted products for women-led enterprises, and overall affordability, effectiveness, and inclusivity.

NEXT STEPS
An independent jury of experts and leaders will review the shortlisted nominees and select a list of finalists. Award applicants are judged on the following criteria: Impact metrics, innovation/uniqueness of the initiative, sharing of insights and best practices, investment of organizational leadership, and the ability of their initiatives to inspire sustainable change. Impact metrics will include aspects such as number of individuals served, Quality of service improvement, Increase in beneficiary satisfaction, Access to resources, and so on.
The jury has a comprehensive evaluation guideline to assess the suitability of each shortlisted nominee.
Applicants/nominees will be assessed based on the assessment criteria for their respective categories.
The scoring will be done as follows:
- (5%) Category fit.
- (20%) Strategies, Objectives, Sustainability vision and statement.
- (40%) Impacts, Effectiveness, excellence/quality of the product/service provided, innovative practices, Continuity and consistency in performance.
- (35%) Performance and Leadership, value, ethical standards
A maximum of 5 applicants/nominees will be shortlisted in each category/sub-category, and the winners will receive a Gold, Silver, Bronze, and finalist (2 finalists) recognition and honor. Shortlisted nominees will be notified and invited to the award-giving ceremony. All winners will be announced at the glamorous Warriors for Good Awards Gala Dinner and Ceremony.
